About Fruit Fly TV
Fruit Fly TV is a 24-hour channel with an audience of one: a simulated fruit fly. Ten ad slots rotate continuously, 30 seconds each. Anyone can buy a slot, starting at one dollar, and keep it until someone outbids them.
It began as a joke about the attention economy (everyone wants eyeballs; this fly has about 1,442 of them) and turned into a fairly serious demo of modern computational neuroscience. Every view on the site is real model output, not an animation drawn by hand.
It's made in Bend, Oregon by Infinity Problem LLC, the company behind the Infinity Problem record label and music software.
